Fluent vs Conexiom for Epicor Kinetic Sales Order Entry
Fluent vs Conexiom for Epicor Kinetic sales order entry: how each works, a side-by-side table, and where each one fits, including where Conexiom fits better.

Fluent and Conexiom both turn emailed customer purchase orders into sales orders, but they are built differently. Conexiom is an established sales order automation vendor that works across many ERPs, which suits companies with several ERPs or a long-running deployment. Fluent is built for Epicor Kinetic, installs nothing inside Epicor, is configured with written instructions, and covers other Kinetic documents such as AP invoices and packing slips from the same platform.
How each approaches sales order entry
Conexiom
Conexiom is one of the long-standing names in sales order automation. Customers email purchase orders as PDFs, spreadsheets or email bodies, Conexiom reads them, and the resulting order data is delivered into the ERP. Its strength is breadth: it supports many ERPs, Epicor among them, and it has been doing this work for years, so its onboarding process and support model are mature.
If you are evaluating Conexiom for Epicor Kinetic, the useful questions are how the Kinetic integration is delivered, how new customer formats are onboarded, and who makes changes when an order needs handling differently.
Fluent
Fluent is built by Technology Coast Partners (TCP), an Epicor Platinum Partner with more than 20 years implementing Epicor and more than 600 implementations, all in manufacturing and distribution. It runs agents for ten Epicor Kinetic screens, and Order Entry is one of them.
For a sales order, the agent reads the document forwarded or emailed to it (PDF, scan, photo, spreadsheet, email body, XML or EDI) and resolves it against live Epicor data:
- Customer, and the customer's own currency and terms.
- Parts, including the customer's own part numbers.
- Units of measure for each line.
- Duplicate check: any existing order already carrying the same customer PO number is flagged before the draft is created.
Any part or unit it cannot resolve is named on that line of the draft. Nothing posts until a person processes the draft, and the transaction is validated by Epicor's own business logic. Every field read and decision made is recorded in an audit log.
There are no templates per customer, no field mapping and no model training. Behavior is set with written instructions, for example "this customer's part numbers carry a trailing revision letter, ignore it", and when a reviewer corrects a draft, the correction becomes an instruction.

Where Conexiom may fit better
Conexiom is a sensible choice in several situations:
- You run more than one ERP. If some business units run Epicor and others run a different ERP, a single order automation vendor across all of them has real value, and Fluent is built for Epicor Kinetic.
- You already have a working Conexiom deployment. If Conexiom is live, your customers' formats are onboarded and the order desk is happy, the cost of switching may outweigh the gains. Revisit the question when your scope changes.
- You prefer a vendor-run model. Some teams would rather have the vendor own format onboarding and changes than maintain instructions themselves.
- You want a long track record in this one category. Conexiom has been focused on sales order automation for years, and some buyers weigh that heavily.
Where Fluent fits better
Fluent tends to fit Epicor Kinetic teams in these situations:
- Nothing may be installed inside Epicor. Fluent calls the Kinetic REST API from outside. It works on-premise or Epicor-hosted, restricted networks allowlist Fluent's fixed egress IPs, and each agent's access scope lists exactly the services it calls, so your Epicor administrator can see and enforce what it touches.
- You want to control behavior yourself. Instructions are plain written sentences, so the order desk or the Epicor administrator can change how a customer's orders are handled without a change request to a vendor.
- Other documents are next on the list. The same platform drafts AP invoices with two-way and three-way matching, receipts from packing slips, cash receipts from remittances, quotes, shipments, time entries and more. One vendor, one review screen, one credit balance.
- Duplicate orders are a real problem. Customers resend POs, forward them twice or send a revision with the same number. Fluent flags any existing order carrying the same customer PO number before it drafts.
- You want to start quickly. Setup is about thirty minutes of accounts and onboarding, and most teams review documents the same day.
We started our implementation call at 4:30 yesterday. First sales orders processing by 4:50. Minimal mistakes out the box.

How to decide
Run both on the same batch of your own orders. Pick purchase orders that are hard for your team today: a customer who uses their own part numbers, one who orders in a different unit than you stock, one who sends revisions under the same PO number, and one who sends a photo or a spreadsheet. Then compare:
- How many lines arrive fully resolved against your Epicor data.
- How clearly each tool says what it could not resolve, and where.
- How long a person spends reviewing each draft.
- What your Epicor administrator has to install, grant or maintain.
- What it takes to change handling for one customer.
- Which other documents you want to automate over the next year, and whether the same tool covers them.
If you run several ERPs or already have Conexiom working well, the answer may be to stay. If you are on Epicor Kinetic and want AP, receipts or cash receipts next, weigh that scope heavily.

Frequently Asked Questions
For Epicor Kinetic sales order entry, Fluent covers the same job: reading customer purchase orders and drafting sales orders for review. It is built only for Epicor Kinetic, so companies that need order automation across several ERPs may be better served by a multi-ERP product such as Conexiom.
No. Fluent uses no templates per customer, no field mapping and no model training. Behavior is set with written instructions, and a reviewer's corrections become instructions, so a new customer's first order is handled without setup.
Nothing. Fluent calls Epicor Kinetic's REST API from outside, with no customization, BPM, staging table or import file. Each agent generates an Epicor access scope listing exactly the services it calls; you import it and Epicor enforces it.
The default is that a person processes every draft before anything posts. Approval thresholds can let low-risk documents post, and every field read and decision made is recorded in an audit log. Transactions are validated by Epicor's own business logic either way.
Fluent has agents for ten Epicor Kinetic screens: Quote Entry, Order Entry, Customer Shipment, AR Invoice Entry, Cash Receipts Entry, PO Entry, Receipt Entry, AP Invoice Entry, Time Entry and Issue Material. Every document and chat draws from the same credit balance.
Paid plans start at $600/month, with usage metered in credits. Invited teams start on a 30-day trial on one agent, with a credit balance included. Details are on the pricing page.
